Meet our Pastor.

Pastor Anthony Ray Green

My name is Anthony Ray Green. I grew up in a small town in West Texas. I accepted Jesus at a young age, and I surrendered to the ministry at a young age. After High School, I attended Ambassador Baptist College, where I met my wife. My wife, Larissa, and I were married in June 2009. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2010.

I began serving in youth ministry immediately after we were married and was ordained at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Newton, North Carolina, in the winter of 2011. I served as the Senior Pastor at Academy Street Baptist Church in Randleman, North Carolina, for approximately eight years.

While pastoring, I pursued a master's degree from Veritas Baptist College and completed my degree in April 2023. I am currently pursuing a master’s in biblical studies through Veritas Baptist College. God has led my wife and family to Sand Hills Baptist Church and we look forward to what God is going to do in La Vernia.

Daisy Larissa Green

I grew up in the home of Evangelist Toru Marshall. My family traveled the United States ministering to churches, holding family revival meetings, and children’s crusades. At age 4, God began to work on my heart about salvation. After speaking with my parents for several weeks, I asked Jesus to wash my sins away. It was a few years later my father had the opportunity to baptize me in our home church in Charlotte, NC. God used my childhood and teen years to form a desire to serve and minister to others. I attended Ambassador Baptist College, where I met my husband, Anthony Green. While at school, I studied missions, deaf ministries, and Biblical studies.

I have enjoyed the ministry God has allowed my husband and I to serve together. In our time in ministry, I have had the opportunity to serve in children’s ministry, music ministry, ladies’ ministry, and support ministries. I believe the call of a pastor’s/missionary’s wife is to support her husband in such ways that free him to fulfill the work God has laid before them.

My first responsibility is to my Lord and Savior. Secondly, unto my husband, and thirdly, to my children. Anthony and I have four children whom I have the privilege of mothering and schooling.
